Wild Wells is a bold new environmental charity in Royal Tunbridge Wells, restoring the town’s natural springs and freshwater habitats to spark a revival in wildlife, wellbeing, and community pride. By offering hands on conservation experiences that boost mental health, holding more water in the landscape for climate resilience, and enhancing vital ecosystem services like pollination, cooling, and flood protection, Wild Wells will help the town thrive — ecologically, socially, and economically. We’ll reconnect people with the landscape, support nature positive local businesses, create wildlife corridors, and build beautiful all weather walking and cycling routes criss-crossing our streams.
This map shows our network of springs (red dots), streams (royal blue, of course), and connecting rivers (light blue). We are the source of the River Grom and River Teise, and tributaries of the river Medway.
