“I’m surprised to see pockets of enviable, high-quality habitat so close to the town. It’s important to protect and connect them, encouraging natural processes to promote their spread. Wild Wells’ ambition is to do just that, and more”.
Ross Wingfield, Nature Works

Local wildlife captured in stunning images by local photographers.
Our iNaturalist projects allow you to become a citizen scientist, recording your wildlife sightings and uploading them for the record. iNaturalist will help you identify what you’ve seen, too.
- The following project, ‘Hurst Wood Connected’, is an area linked by springs and streams which combine to flow down to Speldhurst, then on to the Medway.
Novices and experts are welcome! All you need is iNaturalist app and the desire to get outside.

2. This iNaturalist project is for sightings of nature in and around Tunbridge Wells more generally, to record a baseline of our special, High Weald, spring-fed ecosystems and track progress as we regenerate them into the future.
