From the springs and streams that weave through Tunbridge Wells, Wild Wells is working to keep more water in the landscape — helping to ease flooding in wet times and drought in dry ones-even creating protection from wildfires. By slowing the flow, water can soak into the ground, recharging sandstone aquifers and raising the water table for the benefit of our town and those downstream. Holding water near the river — in ponds, bunds, and wetlands — creates new freshwater habitats and gives local wildlife the space it needs to thrive.
